Travel comes to standstill as roads are closed

A blizzard pounded central and eastern South Dakota on Friday with blowing snow and freezing temperatures. The snow in the Mitchell area continued to accumulate on Friday with 3 additional inches settling on a city already blanketed by more than a foot of snow.
