Our View: Some gains by Democrats

South Dakota Democrats saw reasons to celebrate by the wee hours Wednesday. They made gains in both the House and Senate, and their marquee candidate, Stephanie Herseth, breezed to an easy victory, setting the stage for her to make a run for the U.S. Senate.
