Cancer center uses new machine to treat radiation therapy patients
Wednesday was a satisfying day at the Radiation Oncology Department at Avera Queen of Peace Cancer Center in Mitchell. Members of the center’s radiation team completed their first day treating about eight patients with the center’s new $1.5 million Elekta Precise Digital Accelerator, a machine used to treat cancer patients with radiation therapy.By: Ross Dolan, The Daily Republic
