Freeman shuts out Mudcats, 13-0

Freeman used five free passes in the first two innings to build an early 5-0 lead and never relinquished the momentum, downing the Parkston Mudcats 13-0 in the final first-round game of the Class B state amateur baseball tournament Sunday at Cadwell Park. Freeman (22-7) will take on Mount Vernon at 8 p.m. Wednesday in the second round.
