Three area players place at state pool tournament this weekend
BROOKINGS — Three area pool players won titles at the South Dakota state 8-ball pool tournament this weekend in Brookings.By: Staff reports, The Daily Republic
BROOKINGS — Three area pool players won titles at the South Dakota state 8-ball pool tournament this weekend in Brookings.
The tournament included 600 participants.
Josh Luckett, of Wessington Springs, went undefeated to with the Division C Singles competition, which had 161 players. Luckett also competed in the Team Division B and placed 33rd out of 48 teams.
Terry Garbe, of Alpena, won the Division A Singles competition, beating an undefeated player twice for the title. Garbe’s team placed 25th out of 43 teams.
Kevin Hvam, of Huron, took third in the Division B Singles competition.
