Friday's sports briefs: Rosters announced for CBH vs. Cornbelt games

There will be two Cornbelt Conference vs. Custer Battle-field Highway Conference all-star games Tuesday at Hanson School in Alexandria. The girls’ game starts at 5:30 p.m. and the boys’ game will follow at 7 p.m.

There will be two Cornbelt Conference vs. Custer Battle-field Highway Conference all-star games Tuesday at Hanson School in Alexandria.

The girls’ game starts at 5:30 p.m. and the boys’ game will follow at 7 p.m.

Dakota Wesleyan University and Mount Marty College coaches will coach the teams.

Below are the rosters for all four teams:

Cornbelt girls: Natasha Letcher, Kayla Marquardt, of Canistota; Kylie Hughes, Katherine Luke, of Marion; Jenna Clarke, of Howard; Ashton Deide, of Menno; Kendra Cheeseman, Kelli Wenande, of Hanson; Dina Soulek, of Freeman; and MacKenzie Schultz, of Bridgewater-Emery.

CBH girls: Maria Nightingale, Hailey Mohnen, Clara Moeller, Rose Konechne, of Kimball/White Lake; Rachelle Moore, Candace Page-Marten, of Sanborn Central/Woonsocket; Kayla VandenHoek, Cambria Groseth, of Corsica/Stickney; Sarah Hill, of Mount Vernon/Plankinton.

Cornbelt boys: Alex Robertson, Cody Bunger, Boone DeKramer, Jason Van Winkle, of Canistota; Clayton Dye, Jacob Schweitzer, of Bridgewater-Emery; Steve Larsen, Landon Laible, of Howard; Trey Presson, Matt Huber, of Hanson; Shaun Becker, Caleb Lang, of Freeman.

CBH boys: Adam Bormann, of Corsi-ca/Stickney; Jesse Taylor, Kyle Peters, Russell Pick, of Kimball/White Lake; Nick Miller, Todd Stekl, of Sanborn Central/Woonsocket; Jared Long, Kellam Karst, of Mount Vernon/Plankinton; Adam Rasmussen, Jackson Feiner, of Mitchell Christian; Anthony Huber, of Ethan.

Mitchell Booster Club to meet Monday

The Mitchell Athletic Booster Club is meeting at 5:30 p.m. Monday at the Mitchell High School library.

Abbink signs with Wesleyan golf team

The Dakota Wesleyan Uni-versity women’s golf team has added Aisha Abbink, a Scot-land, S.D., native, it was an-nounced recently.

Abbink joins the team this fall and will be a freshman for the Tigers.

At Scotland, she’s earned three varsity letters and participated in the Class B state golf tournaments in her sophomore and junior seasons. She’s looking for her third straight trip to state this spring.
