Friend de Coup places sixth in Chicago classic

The Mitchell High School Show Choir, Friend de Coup, took sixth place Saturday at the Wheaton-Warrenville Choral Classic in Chicago. The group was competing against 14 other teams from across the nation.
Friend de Coup will host its own competition Saturday at the Corn Palace in Mitchell with groups from South Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin competing. Performances start at 8 a.m. and Mitchell performs at 9:45 p.m.
