PIERRE — The state Game, Fish and Parks Department finally got authority for its bond issue.
After eight days of waiting, the Senate gave its OK 29-3 Tuesday to HB 1030. Angostura Recreation Area would get $1.5 million for a sanitary sewer system. Cedar Shore Resort and marina at Oacoma would get $3 million for bank stabilization. The House previously approved it 66-3. The bill now goes to the governor.
The bonds would be repaid through rental and visitor fees at Angostura and through the lease fee by the convention center operator at Oacoma.
