TEA — Viborg-Hurley edged Canistota for the Region 4B title Tuesday in boys’ high school basketball action.
Viborg-Hurley advanced to the Class B state tournament with the win.
V-H’s Seth Andersen had 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Tyler Gerdes had 12 points and Jack Huether added 10 points.
Viborg-Hurley was 15-of-38 from the field, 16-of-24 from the free-throw line and had 11 turnovers.
Canistota’s Jason VanWinkle had 10 points and 12 rebounds and Alex Robertson and Boone DeKramer each had 10 points.
The Hawks were 17-of-47 from the field, 5-of-9 from the foul line and had 12 turnovers. Canistota won the rebounding battle 27-25.
Viborg-Hurley (21-2) plays in the Class B state tournament, starting March 14 in Aberdeen. Canistota ends its season at 21-2.
