Congratulations to the following students who were selected to represent Mount Vernon High School at the Custer Battlefield Highway Academic Festival on Feb. 27 at Dakota Wesleyan University: Cade Cowins, Tate Deinert, Deric Denning, Erin Denning, Chris Gortmaker, Ashley Graves, Cote Hinker, Joe Johnson, Cody Kluth, Kyle Koch, Jalen Larson, Charlie Mahaffey, Phillip Millar, Delayna Paulson, Ben Steinle, Johnathon Sweet, Brian Vermuelen, Emily Wieczorek, Megan Wieczorek and Mikayla Weiss. Deric, Charlie, Philip and Megan participated in the team competition.
Activities for the week of March 4-11 are as follows:
Today is a Student Enrichment/Staff Development day.
Tuesday, the boys’ region basketball tournament will be held.
Thursday, Friday and Saturday, the girls’ State A Basketball Tournament will be held in Watertown.
Thursday is the end of the third quarter of the 2012-2013 school term.
There will be no school in Mount Vernon on Friday.
