Storm brings freezing drizzle, snow to the Dakotas

FARGO (AP) — A storm is bringing freezing drizzle and heavy snow to parts of the Dakotas, impacting motorists and schools.
The National Weather Service has issued various storm warnings and advisories in the two states through Monday night and into Tuesday in some areas. Forecasters say the storm is tracking from eastern Montana across the Dakotas and into Minnesota and Iowa.
Meteorologist Dave Kellenbenz in Grand Forks says as much as a foot of snow has fallen in northeastern North Dakota.
No travel is advised in parts of southeastern North Dakota because of icy roads, and motorists are being urged to use caution in many in other areas. Many schools are starting late or calling off classes for the day.
