NGA elects Buche to board of directors

LAS VEGAS — At the 2013 NGA Show at the Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas recently, the National Grocers Association Board confirmed its officers and the 2013 Executive Committee Members.
Those elected to the board of directors include R.F. Buche, president of G.F. Buche Co. G.F. Buche Co. was established in 1905 in Lake Andes, by R.F.’s great-grandfather.
He is a fourth-generation grocer.
R.F. Buche owns and operates grocery and convenience stores in nine locations in six communities throughout South Dakota, including Gregory, Mission, Tripp, Wagner, Lake Andes and White River. The Buche Co. employs 200 associates and is planning for more growth.
R.F. Buche currently serves on the board of directors for the South Dakota Retailers. He and his wife, Tammi, have four children: Molly, Shannon, Gus and Gracie. Buche join the NGA Board of Directors,” said Peter J. Larkin, NGA’s president and CEO. “It takes good leaders like him to further the association’s mission and accomplish its goals, and we think 2013 will be a great year.”
The NGA is the national trade association representing the retail and wholesale grocers that comprise the independent sector of the food distribution industry.
