Today, at the Corn Palace, there are four postseason high school basketball games.
Schedule: The Mitchell girls’ basketball team (19-3) plays Rapid City Stevens (8-14) at 3 p.m. in a Region 2AA play-in game. At 4:30 p.m., Ethan (12-7) plays Hanson (15-6) for the District 11B boys’ champion-ship. Corsica/Stickney (13-7) plays Kimball/White Lake (15-6) at 6 p.m. for the District 10B boys’ championship. The Hanson girls (20-2) play South Cen-tral (13-9) at 7:30 p.m. for the Region 6B girls’ champi-onship.
Notes: Mitchell defeated Rapid City Stevens 68-36 on Dec. 15 in the teams’ only matchup of the year. … The Hanson-South Central girls’ game is for a berth to the Class B state basketball tournament. … The Hanson boys defeated Ethan 84-76 in the opening game of both teams’ season. … Kim-ball/White Lake defeated Corsica/Stickney 51-48 Feb. 21 in the last game of the regular-season for both teams.
Next: There will be two re-gion boys’ basketball games Tuesday at the Corn Palace. The Region 5B game will be played at 6:30 p.m. and the Region 6B game will be at 8 p.m.
