More people are hopping on the bus in Rapid City
A report by Rapid City's transit division shows that bus ridership last year was up six percent from 2011. Officials say this year's count is already up more than 13 percent.
RAPID CITY (AP) — Officials in South Dakota's second-largest city say more people are riding the bus.
A report by Rapid City's transit division shows that bus ridership last year was up six percent from 2011. Officials say this year's count is already up more than 13 percent.
Rich Sagen, the transit division manager, says the increase is likely due to an increase in gas prices and the consistent service provided over the years.
KEVN-TV reports that the city plans to run busses every 35 minutes instead of every 30 minutes, in order to reduce delays.
