Things to remember
FEDORA CHURCH HOSTS WORLD DAY OF PRAYER EVENT: Endeavor Presbyterian Church will host a World Day of Prayer service at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 1, at the church in Fedora.
The ecumenical program is sponsored by Church Women United. The speaker will be from Mitchell Area Safe House.
Fellowship and refreshments will follow the service.
KAYLOR OPRY KICKS OFF SEASON: South Dakota Old Time Fiddlers will be in concert at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 1, at the Germans from Russia Heritage Hall, Kaylor.
This is the kick off for the Kaylor Opry 2013 season.
There is no admission but refreshments will be served for a free-will donation. For more information, call 212-9011.

A $300 million turbine wind farm project near White Lake was nearing approval on this date in 2010. The Basin Electric PrairieWinds project would be located near Crow Lake, nearly directly between White Lake and Wessington Springs, and would bring an economic boom to the area.
