AREA HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Ratterman leads Colome in District 12B

COLOME — Colome outscored Andes Central 19-9 in the third quarter of a District 12B boys’ basketball game Saturday en route to a 68-55 win. Colome’s Cohl Ratterman had 28 points and Reed Harter had 26 points and eight assists. Brady London had 13 rebounds and four steals.

Colome’s Cohl Ratterman had 28 points and Reed Harter had 26 points and eight assists. Brady London had 13 rebounds and four steals.

Colome was 28-of-58 from the field and 11-of-22 from the free-throw line.

Andes Central’s Gabe Cournoyer had 18 points, Aaron Swanson had 14 points and 15 rebounds and Joe Evans had 10 points. Darrin Hopkins had 10 rebounds and Zach Cournoyer had six assists.

Andes Central was 15-of-39 from the field and 7-of-10 from the foul line.

Colome (9-12) plays Dakota Christian at 7 p.m. Tuesday in New Holland, while Andes Central ends its season at 5-13.

Tripp-Delmont/Armour 69, Marty 64

ARMOUR — Trevor Payer recorded a double-double to help Tripp-Delmont/Armour defeat Marty 69-64 in the quarterfinals of the District 12B boys’ basketball tournament.

Payer scored 20 points and grabbed 16 rebounds. Austin Barlow chipped in with 18 points and Shane Koster added 12 for the Nighthawks.

TDA was 27-of-63 from the field and 7-of-11 from the free-throw line.

Marty’s Colt Salcedo recorded a double-double. Salcedo scored 15 points and grabbed 12 rebounds.

Chris Bad Hand also scored 15 points.

TDA (8-12) advances to play South Central Tuesday in the District 12B semifinals in Burke. Marty ends its season 10-12.

Menno 53, Scotland 31

MENNO — Dylan Lehr had 17 points and 10 rebounds to lift Menno over Scotland 53-31 Saturday in a District 11B boys’ basketball game.

Austin Herrboldt had 13 points and five steals and Caleb Preszler had five assists for Menno, which was 16-of-42 from the field. Menno was also 12-of-23 from the foul line and had eight turnovers.

Scotland’s Seth Ireland had 11 points, Garret Kotalik had 10 rebounds and Tanner Skorepa had nine rebounds.

Scotland was 11-of-31 from the field, 2-of-8 from the line and had 30 rebounds to Menno’s 26.

Menno (9-12) plays Ethan at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Corn Palace in Mitchell, while Scotland ends its season at 2-19.
