City of Mitchell declares snow emergency

The city of Mitchell has declared a snow emergency.
In an announcement sent out at about 5:30 a.m., city officials announced that all vehicles must be removed from the city's designated snow emergency routes by 6 a.m. or be subject to ticketing and towing.
No parking will be allowed on snow emergency routes until after the storm is over and the streets have been plowed curb to curb, according to the city notice.
The plowing of east – west streets will begin at 8 a.m. Friday. All vehicles must be removed from those streets by that time or they will be subject to ticket and towing.
