Schedules set for Kernels’ district games next week

The District 3AA first round games for both the Mitchell girls’ and boys’ basketball teams were released Wednesday.

The No. 2-seeded Kernel girls will host No. 3-seeded Pierre at 7 p.m. Monday at the Corn Palace in Mitchell.

The No. 3-seeded Kernel boys travel to play No. 2-seeded Huron at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday at Huron Arena.

Mitchell’s Berkley Rietveld to sign with Mount Marty

Mitchell’s Berkley Rietveld is signing a letter of intent with Mount Marty College at 8:45 a.m. today at Mitchell High School.

The senior will join the Lancer cross country and track and field teams this fall.
