Six Dakota Wesleyan wrestlers honored by league

Six Dakota Wesleyan University wrestlers received all-Great Plains Athletic Conference honors, the league announced Tuesday.

Richard Rios (133) and Kyle Gerlach (157) earned first-team honors, Trever DeVestern (157) and Dusty Paulsen (149) were named to the second team and Tyler Sarringar (174) and Eric Gruis (HWT) received honorable-mention status.

It was the most all-GPAC selections in one season for DWU.

The DWU wrestling team is in action next March 1-2 at the NAIA national tournament in Des Moines, Iowa.

MBA registration to be held tonight

Tonight is the second night of registration for Mitchell Baseball Association signup.

Registration will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Mitchell Recreation Center.

Forms can be found at mitchellbaseball.net and can be brought in anytime during the registration.

Glenn to speak at QB Club meeting

University of South Dakota head football coach Joe Glenn will speak at the Mitchell Quarterback Club meeting, which is at 7:30 p.m. today at The Depot in Mitchell.
