Today's games at the Corn Palace: 2/19/13

Today, at the Corn Palace, there will be two District 11B girls’ basketball games.

Games: Hanson (18-2) plays Ethan (15-4) at 6:30 p.m. and Scotland (14-6) plays Avon (15-5) at approximately 8 p.m.

Notes: The Hanson girls are on a six-game winning streak. They defeated Ethan 63-60 in overtime in both teams’ first game of the season. … Ethan, which is on an eight-game win streak, defeated Menno Saturday to advance to the semifinals. … Scotland defeated Avon 50-39 earlier this year.

Next: Thursday, there will be two high school basketball games at the Corn Palace. Corsica/Stickney plays Kimball/White Lake in a boys’ game at 6:30 p.m. and the District 10B semifinal game between Mitchell Christian and Corsica/Stickney will be played at 8 p.m.
