LAKE ANDES — Andes Central’s Kellie Winckler recorded a double-double to help the Eagles beat Colome 63-47 in the first round of the District 12B girls’ high school basketball tournament Saturday.
Winckler led the way for Andes Central with 22 points and 14 rebounds.
Cybil Clarke chipped in with 13 points and Krista Winckler finished with 10 points and five assists.
The Eagles were 25-of-56 from the field and made six of their 10 3-pointers.
Tracey Routh scored a team-high 18 points for Colome. Tiffany Hauf finished with nine points and Mariah Kinzer had eight points and eight rebounds.
Colome committed 14 turnovers and shot 22 percent from the field and 52 percent from the free throw line.
Andes Central (8-10) plays South Central Tuesday in Burke in the semifinals of the District 12B tournament. Colome ends its season 4-15.

Marion 60, Canistota 44
TEA — Three Marion players scored in double figures to help the Bears defeat Canistota 60-44 at the District 7B girls’ high school basketball tournament Saturday.
Kylie Hughes led the way with 17 points, Katherine Luke had 15 and Devin Nelson added 14 points.
Hughes and Cynda Miller grabbed each grabbed five rebounds and Nelson recorded six steals.
Canistota was led by Chloe Nielsen, who recorded a double-double. Nielsen finished with 20 points and 12 rebounds for the Hawks.
Canistota committed 21 turnovers and was 12-of-59 from the field.
Marion (8-11) takes on Parker Tuesday in the semifinals of the 7B regional tournament in Tea. Canistota finishes its season 6-15.

Freeman Academy 40
TEA — Tara and Kadra Kayser each scored 16 points to lead Bridgewater-Emery past Freeman Academy 41-40 in the first of the District 7B girls’ high school basketball tournament Saturday.
Kadra Kayser also had eight rebounds and six steals.
Bridgewater-Emery grabbed 26 rebounds, forced 17 steals and shot 29 percent from the field.
Hannah Yoder scored 23 points and grabbed six rebounds for Freeman Academy.
Chelsea Wentz chipped in with 10 points and seven rebounds, while Clara Koerner added seven points and six rebounds.
Bridgewater-Emery (8-12) advances to play Freeman in the semifinals of the 7B regional tournament Tuesday in Tea. Freeman Academy ends its season 2-18.

MARTY— Aided by Kelli Batterman’s double-double, the Tripp-Delmont/Armour girls’ basketball team advanced to the semifinals of the District 12B girls’ high school basketball tournament after beating Marty 62-44 Saturday.
Batterman scored 22 points and grabbed 15 rebounds for the Nighthawks.
Hannah Just had 19 points and Jessica Sandau finished with 11 points and seven rebounds.
TDA shot 20-of-59 from the field and had 40 total rebounds.
Marty was led by Amanda Iron Elk and Dominique Diaz. Iron Elk scored 13 points and Diaz added 12.
Tripp-Delmont/Armour (3-18) plays Dakota Christian in the semifinals of the 12B girls’ basketball tournament Tuesday in New Holland. Marty ends its season 10-10.

Ethan 69, Menno 38
ETHAN — The Ethan girls’ basketball team shot 45 percent from the field en route to beating Menno 69-38 in the first round of the District 11B girls’ high school basketball tournament Saturday.
Darbi Gustafson scored 17 points and grabbed seven rebounds for Ethan, which finished with 28 total rebounds.
Bailey Grenoble finished with 13 points for the Rustlers and Kala Neuweberg added 12.
Menno’s Kaylee Kessler scored a team-high 17 points and Abby Herrboldt chipped in 13 points.
Tara Spencer had six rebounds, while Herrboldt and Madison Huber each had four assists.
Menno was 11-of-34 from the field, 15-of-19 from the free-throw line and committed 21 turnovers.
Ethan (15-5) advances to face Hanson Tuesday at the Corn Palace in Mitchell. Menno finishes its season 3-18.
