Two arrested after scuffle in vehicle in Mitchell

Two men were arrested Monday evening in Mitchell following a physical altercation inside a vehicle.

Spencer Larry Schoenrock, 25, of Mitchell, called police shortly after 6:30 p.m. and reported the assault, which started when Tad Donivan Lysne, 18, of Fulton, asked Schoenrock to leave the vehicle and he refused, according to Mitchell Police Detective Lt. Don Everson.

Both men allegedly assaulted each other while still in the vehicle, which was located in the 1500 block of North Wisconsin Street. Schoenrock bit Lysne during the assault, Everson said.

Neither of the men required medical attention as a result of the altercation, Everson said.

Both have been charged with simple assault, which is a misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in jail and a $2,000 fine.

No other charges are expected to be filed in the case, Everson said.
