News that the International Olympic Committee has dropped wrestling from the Olympic program for 2020 hits especially hard in South Dakota, which has produced at least six Olympic wrestlers.

-Jim Scherr, 1988 Olympic wrestler, Mobridge native, went on to serve as CEO of the U.S. Olympic Committee.

-Bill Scherr, brother of Jim, 1988 Olympic bronze medalist, Mobridge native.

-Randy Lewis, 1984 Olympic gold medalist, Rapid City native.

-Lincoln McIlravy, 2000 Olympic bronze medalist, Philip native.

-Dennis Koslowski, 1988 bronze medalist, 1992 silver medalist, Doland native.

-Duane Koslowski, brother of Dennis, 1988 Olympian, Doland native.
