Regina Cecilia Renshaw, 76, Armour, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at her home in Armour.

Regina Cecilia Renshaw, 76, Armour, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at her home in Armour.

She was born on April 9. 1936.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, Armour.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the church with a 7 p.m. prayer service.

Arrangements are under the direction of Koehn Brothers Funeral Home, Armour.

Regina Cecilia Renshaw was born to John and Anne Catherine (Millea) Flaherty in Mallard, Iowa.

She attended high school in Pickstown.

She married Robert Renshaw on April 16, 1955, in Lake Andes.

She was a teacher’s aide in Armour for many years, and continued that tradition of guidance with her daughters and their children, leaving behind a legacy of excellence and a wealth of wisdom.

The greatest pleasure of her life was spending time with her large and loving family.

Jean enjoyed her grandchildren, playing cards, Tripoly, reading and traveling.

She was also a member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary.

Jean will be remembered by her loving husband, Robert, Armour; daughters: Michele Sykes, Rochester, Minn.; Pamela (John) Ver Maas, Palmdale, Calif.; Angela (Kevin) Plihal, Oceanside, Calif.; and Kathleen (Paul Wilson) Renshaw, Armour; sisters: Arlene Carl, Marie Bautista, Pat Erven and Elizabeth Meyers; brothers: Jack, Gerald and Edward Flaherty; a son-in law, Patric Traxinger, Rapid City; 13 loving grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Tommy Flaherty; and eldest daughter, Roberta Traxinger.
