As part of the 2012-13 Mitchell Area Concert Association concert series, the fan-favored Church Basement Ladies will perform their sequel Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Corn Palace.
It’s “A Second Helping” of the Church Basement Ladies, which promotion materials describe as a show about “life, death and new adventures in the world and in their lives.”
Set in 1969, the show focuses on the escapades of the women of the Lutheran church basement kitchen during everything from Missionary Night to Super Bowl Sunday.
The musical comedy is inspired by the books of Janet Letnes Martin and Suzann Nelson, whose works include the bestseller, “Growing Up Lutheran.”
MACA Executive Secretary Jim Blades said the Mitchell show is the second of four versions of the popular plays.
Season membership tickets for MACA are $50 for individuals, $20 for students or $100 for families.
Memberships or season tickets are available at each of the concerts, or by calling Blades at (605) 996-5081.
Individual tickets may be purchased at the door the night of a concert and are $25 for adults or $10 for students.
