HANSON — Four Hanson boys basketball players scored in double figures to help the Beavers defeat Freeman 58-40 in a boys’ high school basketball game Monday in Alexandria.
Jordan Marquardt led the way for the Beavers with 16 points, seven rebounds and five assists.
Sam Vander Stouwe added 11 points, while Aaron Wenande and Matt Huber each chipped in with 10.
Freeman was led by Caleb Lang, who scored 12 points, and Cole Paulson, who finished with 10.
The Flyers were 15-of-47 from the field and grabbed 22 rebounds.
Hanson (10-5) hosts Mitchell Christian Thursday in Alexandria. Freeman (9-6) plays Corsica/Stickney Thursday in Corsica.

Parkston 58, Scotland 33
PARKSTON — Spencer Lucas recorded a double-double to help lift Parkston to a 58-33 victory over Scotland Monday.
Lucas finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Jalen Hurley led the Trojans in scoring with 13 points and Zach Scott added 10 points.
Scotland was led in scoring by Shaye Bloch, who had 11 points. No other Highlander scored in double figures.
Parkston (10-6) plays Tea Area Friday in Parkston. Scotland (2-12) takes on Gregory Friday in Scotland.

FREEMAN — The Centerville boys’ basketball team beat Freeman Academy 61-45 Monday in Freeman.
Freeman Academy’s Noah Yoder had 17 points. Grabriel Eisenbeis, Ben Carlson and Josh Stahl each brought down seven rebounds. The Bobcats were 16-of-54 from the field.
Centerville was led by Logan Hunter with 13 points and Seamus O’Malley had 11 points. Ty Knutson grabbed nine rebounds. Centerville was 20-of-66 from the field.
Freeman Academy (1-14) hosts Flandreau Thursday, Centerville (12-3) won the JV game and plays Gayville-Volin Friday.

SALEM — Natasha Krempges had 12 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double in McCook Central/Montrose’s 42-37 loss to West Central in a high school girls’ basketball game Monday.
MCM (8-10) plays Dell Rapids Thursday in Montrose, while West Central (12-4) plays at Beresford today.

TYNDALL — Josie DeGroot scored a game-high 17 points to lead Platte-Geddes over Bon Homme 63-51 in a high school girls’ basketball game Monday.
Mackenzie Millar had 16 points, Shelby Rabenberg scored 13 and Kelly Knudson added 11 points and nine assists in the win.
Bon Homme was led by Shawna Rezac and Kelsey Sutera with 12 points apiece. Karlee Kozak brought down five of the team’s 26 rebounds.
Bon Homme (6-10) plays at Chamberlain Thursday, while Platte-Geddes (13-5) hosts Winner Thursday in Platte.

Parkston 52, Scotland 35
PARKSTON — Erica Herrold scored her 1,000th point to lead Parkston over Scotland 52-35 Monday.
Herrold also recorded a double-double, tallying 21 points and 12 rebounds. Logan Wagner added 12 points and Christa Radke chipped in with eight points for the Trojans, who are now 10-6.
Scotland shot 31 percent from the field and had 17 turnovers.
The Highlanders were led by Kennidy Asche who scored 14 points. Aisha Abbink chipped in with 11.
Parkston also won the junior varsity game 40-24.
Scotland (12-5) takes on Gregory Friday in Gregory. Parkston plays Lennox Thursday in Lennox.
Ethan 60, Dakota Christian 45
NEW HOLLAND — Ethan had three players score in double figures en route to a 60-45 victory over Dakota Christian Monday.
Ethan’s Darbi Gustafson led all players with 13 points and nine rebounds. Bailey Grenoble had 11 points and Whitney Endres recorded 10 points and 10 assists for a double-double.
Jessica Kaemingk scored 10 points and Amber Baan Hofman grabbed eight rebounds in the loss.
Dakota Christian (8-7) plays Freeman Academy today in Freeman, while Ethan (12-4) hosts Marion today.

MARION — Devin Nelson scored 14 points to lift Marion over Menno 44-26 Monday.
Erica Schoenwald grabbed nine rebounds in the win. Marion was 13-of-51 from the field and had 27 total rebounds.
Menno was led by Abby Herrboldt with 15 points. Marion (4-9) plays at Ethan today, while Menno (2-14) won the JV game and plays Cansistota today.

WOONSOCKET — Sanborn Central/Woonsocket was 26-of-62 from the field and grabbed 28 rebounds en route to defeating Bridgewater-Emery 64-33 in a girls’ high school basketball game Monday.
Marissa Webber led the Blackhawks in scoring with 14 points. Shelby Selland added 13 for SCW, which is now 15-1.
Bridgewater-Emery was led by Tiana Kayser, who finished with 13 points and seven rebounds.
Justine Dye chipped in with 11.

MISSION — The Chamberlain girls’ basketball team got its 15th victory of the season Monday after beating Todd County 45-42.
The Cubs were led by Jaymee Knippling, who scored 11 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Kennedy Wagner was the team’s leading scorer with 12.
Chamberlain (15-1) plays Bon Homme Thursday in Chamberlain.
