Woman sentenced to jail, probation for meth possession

A 21-year-old woman was sentenced Monday to 60 days in jail and two years on probation for methamphetamine possession.
Latricia Arcoren, 21, pleaded guilty Dec. 4 to one count of possession of a controlled substance after she was arrested Sept. 26 when police found a light bulb with meth residue on it in a trash can at her residence.
Arcoren was living in Mitchell at the time of the incident but now lives in Marty.
Arcoren was given credit for 13 days she already served in jail. Judge Tim Bjorkman ordered Arcoren to serve her remaining jail time in three segments with seven days starting July 1, 20 days starting Jan. 1, 2014, and 20 days starting Jan. 1, 2015.
