Nieuwsma, Muhs say vows in September ceremony

Christina Nieuwsma and Alan Muhs were married on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, at Legacy United Methodist Church, Bismarck, N.D., with the Rev. Russell Melby officiating.

Parents of the couple are Ed and Anne Nieuwsma, Strasburg, N.D.; and Rod and Becky Muhs, Mount Vernon.

Matron of honor was Joy Vetter. Bridesmaids were Kiara Siex, Tiffany Krinke, Savannah Wolf, Shannon Nieuwsma and Stephanie Dietz. Flower girl was Niema Brooks.

Best man was Brandon Muhs. Groomsmen were Bo Hoffman, Kevin Deinert, Marcus Muhs, Brian Nieuwsma and Derek Nieuwsma. Ring bearers were Bryce Nieuwsma and Tyler Dietz.

Ushers were Matt Meier, Kyle Mathis, Chaz Johnson, Jordan Kvale and Nathan Hoots.

A reception was held at Best Western Doublewood Inn.

Christina is a graduate of Strasburg High School. She graduated from Jamestown College, Jamestown, N.D., with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is a registered nurse at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, N.D.

Alan is a graduate of Mount Vernon High School. He is also a graduate of Jamestown College with a bachelor’s degree in history/secondary education. He works for Crop Production Services, Jamestown, as a crop consultant.

The couple will live in Valley City, N.D.
