He was born on July 13, 1917.
A memorial service was held at Avera Bormann Manor, Parkston. There are no local services scheduled.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bittner Funeral Chapel, Mitchell.
Floyd Carrol Lindstrom was born at Jackson, Minn., to Frank and Anna (Kielblock) Lindstrom.
He grew up and attended school in Jackson.
Following high school, he moved to Los Angeles, where he worked in the aircraft industry.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1942, and in 1944 until 1945, he was a pilot in the U.S. Air Corps.
He married Jeanette Schlapkohl on Feb. 21, 1948, at Mankato, Minn.
They moved to Mitchell, where he worked as a printer at Educator Supply for a several years.
Later, they moved to Redondo Beach, Calif., where he worked for a printing company in Santa Monica, Calif., for many years.
His wife, Jeanette, died on Feb. 21, 1976. He continued to live in California until 1979, when he moved back to Mitchell.
He worked at McLeod’s Printing and Office Supply until his retirement.
On Sept. 6, 1980, he married Patricia Knutson at Round Lake, Minn.
He was a resident of Mitchell until he became a resident of Avera Bormann Manor in Parkston the last 2 ½ years.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia, Mitchell; one stepdaughter, Jerry Luckett, Mitchell; four grandchildren: Travis Bechen and wife Wendy, Rapid City; Trevor Bechen and wife Lacy, Letcher; Teri Luckett, Mitchell; and Tricia Oswald and husband Trevor, Mitchell; and five great-grandchildren.
Floyd was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette (Feb. 21, 1976); and his parents.
