The Dakota Wesleyan baseball team is picked sixth in the Great Plains Athletic Conference preseason poll, announced Tuesday.
The Tigers finished fourth in the conference last season. Doane College, who earned a berth to the NAIA National Championship Opening Round was picked first with seven first-place votes.
MCS vs. Menno doubleheader rescheduled

The doubleheader between the Mitchell Christian and Menno basketball programs is rescheduled for Friday.
The games were originally scheduled for tonight. The girls’ varsity game is slated for 5:45 p.m. and the varsity boys’ game will follow.
Katz to join DWU baseball in 2014

The Dakota Wesleyan baseball added Hartman Katz to the team for 2014.
Katz, of Huron, plays catcher and has played for Huron Legion Post 7 for three seasons.
DWU softball eighth in GPAC preseason poll

The Dakota Wesleyan University softball team was picked to finish eighth in the Great Plains Athletic Conference preseason poll, released Tuesday.
The Tigers finished 17-30 last season and 10-10 in conference play.
Morningside College, which one the GPAC tournament last season, was the favorite with seven first-place votes. Northwestern College, which on the regular season title last year followed with two first-place votes.
