Megan Wieczorek and Brian Vermeulen were selected to this year’s SD 4-H Character Counts Hometown Hero’s of Character poster program. These seniors were chosen because they work hard to exhibit outstanding character both on and off the field of play and strive hard to excel in the classroom and exhibit outstanding leadership skills. They will visit several classrooms at the school and talk about good character. Each student will receive a poster with pictures of athletes from around the area chosen for this honor. Each athlete wrote a short paragraph on the importance of good character.
Megan is the daughter of Curt and Leanne Wieczorek. Brian is the son of Joe and Linda Vermeulen.
Megan Wieczorek also received the President’s Volunteer Service Award. She completed over 100 hours of community service in a 12 month period. She was given this challenge at the HOBY Conference.
