Alcester hog farmer Steve Rommereim will visit third- and fourth-grade students at LB Williams Elementary school in Mitchell at 12:35 p.m. Tuesday. Rommereim has been “adopted” by the students and has been sharing video messages with the class every month.
In his monthly videos, he has shown the students how pigs and cows on his farm are cared for every day.
The students have also learned about harvesting corn and soybeans and will learn about planting in the spring. This will be the first time the students meet Rommereim in person.
