WATERTOWN — The Mitchell Marlin girls’ varsity hockey team fell to Watertown 4-2 Friday.
Kylie Barington and Haley Stahl scored each scored a goal in the loss. Kassi Barrington had two assists and Alexandra Jones had one for the Marlins (5-6-3).
Goalie Hannah Spates made 37 saves in the game. The Lakers outshot Mitchell 41-19.
Youth basketball tourney held at NSU Feb. 17

There will be a youth girls’ basketball tournament Feb. 17 at the Northern State University campus in Aberdeen.
The tournament is open to girls in grades third through sixth. Entry fee is $115 and teams are guaranteed three games.
The entry deadline is Feb. 8 and forms can be found on the NSU women’s basketball website. Any questions can be directed to Curt Fredrickson at 626-7935.
Parks and Rec department taking indoor soccer registrations

The Mitchell Parks and Recreation Department is taking registration for begindergarten to second grade boys’ and girls’ indoor soccer.
The program will be held Feb. 2, 9, 16, 23. Sign up by Jan. 31 at the recreation center or online at cityofmitchell.org.
