Vigil held in honor of Sioux Falls man found dead

SIOUX FALLS (AP) — A prayer vigil has been held for a 50-year-old Sioux Falls man who was found dead in his home earlier this month.

SIOUX FALLS (AP) — A prayer vigil has been held for a 50-year-old Sioux Falls man who was found dead in his home earlier this month.

KELO-TV reported a group of people gathered Saturday at the home of Cresencio Conde-Vargas to pray. The group says the purpose of the vigil is to reclaim the site for nonviolence. Vargas was found dead on Jan. 7 at his home in Sioux Falls. Authorities say 22-year-old Robert Bass III has been charged with second-degree murder in the case. He is accused of beating Vargas to death. Bass has pleaded not guilty.
