ServSafe course scheduled in area
WESSINGTON SPRINGS — South Dakota State University Extension will host a ServSafe Foodservice Manager Certification Course Feb. 27 in Wessington Springs at the Sweet Grass, 116 Main St. East.
WESSINGTON SPRINGS — South Dakota State University Extension will host a ServSafe Foodservice Manager Certification Course Feb. 27 in Wessington Springs at the Sweet Grass, 116 Main St. East.
ServSafe begins at 8 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m. with a certification exam.
South Dakota food service establishments are required to have at least one person on staff that has passed an approved eight-hour food service manager sanitation training and certification program. ServSafe is an approved course.
The training session cost is $75, class size is limited and registration for the event is required. Attendees are required to bring a photo ID and are encouraged to bring note-taking materials as well as a meat thermometer.
