Indian Village to host Lakota Winter Games

The Mitchell Prehistoric Indian Village welcomes Smithsonian presenter Mike Marshall at 1 p.m. Saturday for a presentation of Lakota Winter Games.

He will teach attendees the games his ancestors played during the long, cold winter months of the Northern Plains.

A member of the Rosebud Lakota, Marshall has been a fixture at the Smithsonian Museum of the American Indian and is an accomplished artist, jeweler and father (his son, Sage, will perform with the Inaugural Band at President Obama’s second inauguration).

This event is free to the public. Beverages will be available for purchase and donations will be accepted.
