The Parkston Area Special Olympics group is preparing for the second annual Polar Plunge — “Freezin’ for a Reason!” A contest is being held at the Ethan School to help raise money to assist these athletes in attending athletic events and tournaments during the next year. There are buckets in each classroom at the school. The class that raises the most money overall will receive a pizza party. As an added bonus, if the school raises $2,000 Principal Tim Hawkins will take the plunge on Jan. 26!

Donations are being accepted until Jan. 18. If you have any questions, or would like to donate to this event, please contact Jason VanRoekel at 999-8322.
