MCHS boys fall to Cadets 47-41

NEW HOLLAND — The Mitchell Christian boys dropped their seventh game of the season Thursday night.

NEW HOLLAND — The Mitchell Christian boys dropped their seventh game of the season Thursday night.

The Eagles fell to Dakota Christian 47-41 in a Class B matchup. MCHS shot 36 percent going 16-of-44 from the field and 88 percent from the free-throw line.

Aaron Lemon had a team-leading 13 points while Adam Rasmussen added 10 points and grabbed eight rebounds for the Eagles, who were outrebounded 27-18.

Carter Dykstra led the Cadets, who shot 15-of-40 from the field and led by three at halftime. Dykstra scored a game-high 20 points, drained two 3-pointers and brought down eight rebounds. Owen Medicine was the only other player for Dakota Christian to reach double figures in points with 10.

Dakota Christian also won the JV game 46-25.

Mitchell Christian (2-7) plays Avon Tuesday in Mitchell. Dakota Christian (3-5) takes on Tripp-Delmont/Armour Saturday in New Holland.
