SIOUX FALLS (AP) — A South Dakota man has pleaded guilty to hitting and running over a person several times with his car.

SIOUX FALLS (AP) — A South Dakota man has pleaded guilty to hitting and running over a person several times with his car.

U.S. Attorney Brendan Johnson announced Thursday that 27-year-old Ryan Wright pleaded guilty to a charge of assault resulting in serious bodily injury.

Prosecutors say the charge stems from an incident in November 2012 in which Wright argued with someone at his residence and ended up hitting and running over the victim several times. The victim suffered fractures in his left ankle and pelvis, which required surgery.

An Associated Press news brief about the incident did not include information about Wright's city or town of residence.

Wright faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000. Sentencing is set for April 1.
