Not guilty plea given in felony drug case

Matthew Nunez, 19, is alleged to have illegally possessed a controlled prescription drug known as alprazolam, commonly referred to as Xanax. He faces a maximum of 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine if convicted of the felony charge.
His trial is scheduled for May.
Nunez remained in custody at the Davison County Jail for unpaid fines and costs on other misdemeanor charges following Tuesday’s hearing.
