Mitchell boys stun No. 4-ranked Brandon Valley

BRANDON — Mitchell picked up its third win of the season Tuesday, defeating No. 4-ranked Brandon Valley in a boys’ high school basketball game.

BRANDON — Mitchell picked up its third win of the season Tuesday, defeating No. 4-ranked Brandon Valley in a boys’ high school basketball game.

The Kernels defeated Bran-don Valley 46-44 for their first Eastern South Dakota Conference win of the season. It was also their first road victory of the year.

Seth Cavanaugh led the Kernels with 18 points and Beau Brown had nine points and nine rebounds.

Mitchell (3-7) lost to Brandon Valley 57-39 to open its season on Dec. 7. For more on the game, see Wednesday’s edition of The Daily Republic.
