Peever man charged with murder in stabbing death
23-year-old Patrick Hopkins was arrested Monday night in the stabbing death of Adam LaFramboise.
PEEVER (AP) — Authorities have charged a Peever man with first-degree murder in the death of another man.
Attorney General Marty Jackley and Roberts County States Attorney Kerry Cameron say 23-year-old Patrick Hopkins was arrested Monday night in the stabbing death of Adam LaFramboise. The charge stems from an incident last Friday night at a residence in Peever in northeastern South Dakota.
The penalty for first-degree murder in South Dakota is either death or life in prison.
It was not immediately clear if Hopkins had an attorney.
