Noem makes promotions, changes to congressional staff

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Rep. Kristi Noem has announced some staffing changes.
Beth Hollatz, of Watertown, has been named state director. Hollatz has served as Noem’s northeast area director since January 2011.
In her new role, Hollatz will remain based out of Noem’s Watertown office and will oversee the constituent service efforts of all the congresswoman’s offices statewide while still handling the northeast corner of the state.
Hollatz, 53, is a South Dakota native who was born and raised in Watertown. Hollatz was a small business owner for 23 years in Clark.
Noem also announced that Legislative Director Andrew Christianson, a Tea native, has been promoted to deputy chief of staff in her Washington, D.C., office. Christianson will also continue to serve as legislative director.
Additionally, Sioux Falls Constituent Services Representative Courtney Heitkamp will be joining the Washington, D.C., team as press secretary. She will report to Communications Director Andrea McCarthy.
No staffers were replaced, fired or resigned, according to Communications Director Andrea McCarthy.
