WASHINGTON — Sen. John Thune, R-S.D., was elected Friday to serve as ranking member of the Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee of the 113th Congress.
Thune was also selected to continue serving on the Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry Committee and the Finance Committee.
As ranking member, Thune is the senior-most Republican on the Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee for the 113th Congress. He will also continue to serve in Republican leadership as chairman of the Senate Republican Conference.
