VIVIAN — A Washington woman is in critical condition following a Thursday morning vehicle rollover on Interstate 90 near Vivian.
According to Lt. Alan Welsh of the South Dakota Highway Patrol, 30-year-old Lindsay Ratliff, of Puyallup, Wash., was asleep in the passenger seat of a 2004 Jeep when around 9:50 a.m., the driver, Jimmy Ratliff, 31, of Puyallup, Wash., lost control of the vehicle, causing it to fishtail, enter the median and roll.
Lindsay Ratliff, who was sitting in a reclined passenger seat and not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle in the crash, according to Welsh. She was taken by ambulance to Avera St. Mary’s Hospital in Pierre, where she is in critical condition, Welsh said. Jimmy Ratliff was wearing a seat belt and suffered minor injuries.
