In-state college basketball: NDSU men beat South Dakota State

The Bison led 29-27 at halftime. At 4:56 in the second half, the Jackrabbits had a four-point lead (56-52). The Bison scored the next six points.
SDSU women beat NDSU 76-57
BROOKINGS — Ashley Eide topped the 20-point mark for the third consecutive game to lead the South Dakota State women’s basketball team to a 76-57 victory over North Dakota State on Sunday.
Eide, who is averaging 15.6 points per game this season, led all scorers with 20 points.
Megan Waytashek scored 17 and Leah Dietel finished with 14 points and eight rebounds for the Jackrabbits, who are now 9-5 overall and 1-0 in conference on the season.
SDSU hosts Kansas City Thursday in Brookings.
USD women get first Summit victory of year
VERMILLION — The University of South Dakota women’s basketball team got its first conference victory.
The Coyotes (6-8, 1-0 Summit) defeated Nebraska-Omaha (9-3, 1-1) 62-57 Sunday in conference matchup at the DakotaDome in Vermillion.
Four Coyotes scored in double figures. Lisa Loeffler had a career-high 14 points while Tempestt Wilson and Polly Harrington each added 13. Nicole Seekamp finished with 12 points and six assists.
USD takes on North Dakota State Thursday in Fargo for its next action.
USD routs Nebraska-Omaha
OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Brandon Bos had 23 points and 10 rebounds, leading four South Dakota players in double figures, and the Coyotes defeated Nebraska-Omaha 95-72 on Saturday.
South Dakota (6-8, 2-1 Summit) never trailed, led 52-29 at halftime and won on the road for the first time in six tries this season.
