LETTER: Rifles, pistols could use some restrictions

Congress seems competent only for arguing and vacations. Statesmen act while politicians check their re-election voting.

To the Editor:

Schools, hospitals and clinics are not always safe today with 1 million U.S. abortions annually and mass murders from grade school through college. Schools were once the safest places in America.

Shotguns must legally be plugged to have only three shells ready for action while hunting some game. Maybe rifles and pistols could also have similar legal requirements for any use.

Congress seems competent only for arguing and vacations. Statesmen act while politicians check their re-election voting.
