Below is a list of teams participating in the third annual Mike Miller Classic, along with capsules of each team. The classic has 13 teams playing this year with five out-of-state teams and eight South Dakota teams.
Coronado High School, Henderson, Nev.
Coach: Jeff Kaufman, sixth season
Notes: This season, the Cougars are averaging 71 points per game. The team is led by senior guard Justice Augmon, who is averaging 25.1 points per game. Jordan Willis, a 6-foot-5 senior forward, leads Coronado in rebounding with an average of 8.5 rebounds per game.

DeLaSalle High School, Minneapolis
Coach: Dave Thorson, 17th season
Notes: DeLaSalle High School is participating in the Mike Miller Classic for the third consecutive year. The Islanders return three starters from last year’s Class 3A championship team. Junior power forward Reid Travis is a top recruit for the class of 2014. He has offers from top Division I schools, including Purdue, Stanford, Boston College and Minnesota.

La Lumiere High School, LaPorte, Ind.
Coach: Alan Huss, second season
Notes: This is La Lumiere’s second consecutive appearance at the Mike Miller Classic. Last season, the team was named a top 10 team by ESPN. This year, the Lakers are led by Detrick Mostella, who committed to Oklahoma State. La Lumiere has seven players who are taller than 6-foot-5 on its roster.

Our Savior New American, Centereach, N.Y.
Coach: Ron Stelzer, 15th season
Notes: Last week, Our Savior New American took fourth place in the Tarkanian Classic Platinum Division, which had 16 teams from five states in the field. The team is led by junior forward Michael Nzei.

Rock High School, Gainesville, Fla.
Coach: Justin Harden, fourth season
Notes: The Lions have 10 players being recruited by colleges on every level. Senior Joel Embiid, a 6-foot-11 forward, has signed with Kansas University.

Pierre T.F. Riggs High School
Coach: Terry Becker, ninth season
Notes: Pierre was ranked first in South Dakota preseason polls but has fallen out of the top five this week. The team is led by Zach Hanson, who is a Creighton recruit.

Mitchell High School
Coach: Tom Young, first season
Notes: The Kernels graduated all of their starters from last season. Senior guard Seth Cavanaugh, who is the team’s leading scorer with 12.8 points per game, is the only player who earned playing time last season.

Sioux Falls Lincoln High School
Coach: Jeff Halseth, fourth season
Notes: The Patriots average 73.3 points per game and are led by Nermin Krdzalic, who has 18.7 points per game. Lincoln is ranked No. 4 in the South Dakota poll this week.
Schedule: Lincoln vs. Coronado, 4 p.m. Friday.
Sioux Falls O’Gorman High School
Coach: Derek Robey, eighth season
Notes: The Knights played in the classic last season and have won the Class AA state championship for three consecutive years.

Sioux Falls Roosevelt High School
Coach: Lee Taylor, 10th season
Notes: The Roughriders jumped to the top of the South Dakota poll this week and placed sixth in last year’s Class AA state tournament.

Sioux Falls Washington High School
Coach: Craig Nelson, first season
Notes: The Warriors took fourth place in last year’s state tournament but are not ranked in the South Dakota poll this week.

Watertown High School
Coach: Brian Norberg, 10th season
Notes: The Arrows are ranked No. 2 in the South Dakota Sportswriters Association poll this week.

Coach: Eldon Marshall, 11th season
Notes: White River is ranked atop the Class B boys’ basketball poll this week. Last season, the Tigers won the Class B state title.
