As one of their last actions in 2012, the Davison County commissioners will set the salaries of elected officials.

The commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. Thursday in the Commissioners’ Room at the courthouse, 200 E. Fourth Ave., Mitchell.

It’s unclear at this time if the commissioners will also set their own salaries on Thursday, or wait until the first meeting of the new year, as was the case in January.

On Dec. 27, 2011, the commissioners set the following 2012 base salaries for elected officials: auditor, treasurer, and register of deeds, $45,612.24; state’s attorney, $76,386.28; and sheriff, $54,682.78.

On Jan. 3, the commissioners set their own salaries at $14,003.

Thursday’s agenda also includes:

9 a.m.: Call to order, Pledge of Allegiance, approval of past meeting minutes, citizen input.

9:30 a.m.: Supplemental budget hearing for an operating transfer (the line item and/or department unspecified in the agenda).

9:45 a.m.: Contingency transfers (departments not specified in the agenda).

10 a.m.: Set elected officials’ wages for 2013.

10:15 a.m.: Miscellaneous items for board action; approval of timesheets, bills for payment.
