Last day to view Capitol Christmas display
Representatives of organizations and communities who decorated the more than 90 trees will return to Pierre on Thursday to take them down.
PIERRE (AP) — Wednesday is the final day for residents to view the decorated Christmas trees in the South Dakota Capitol.
The annual Christmas at the Capitol holiday display is open to the public from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. CST.
Representatives of organizations and communities who decorated the more than 90 trees will return to Pierre on Thursday to take them down.
The tradition draws thousands to the Capitol each year.
The featured tree in the Capitol rotunda is a 35-foot blue spruce decorated by Girls Scouts-Dakota Horizons, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary.
